Pastor Bron Jacobs
Pastor Bron Vincent Jacobs was born in Rochester, New York to Ennis and Ruth Jacobs. While New York was his place of birth, Tallahassee, FL, would be his place of permanent abode. He completed his high- school years at Forest Lake Academy in Apopka, FL, and upon graduation, enrolled at Oakwood College in Huntsville, AL, where he planned to major in political science with hopes of following his father’s footsteps into the realm of political law. However, God’s will for ministry prevailed and Pastor Jacobs later enrolled in the ministerial theology program, while attending Oakwood College. Pastor Jacobs was involved with various ministerial organizations such as the Scottsborough, AL, Outreach program that ministered to the physical and spiritual needs of rural Alabama communities. He also served as the lead student chaplain at Oakwood College under the tutelage of Elders T. Marshall Kelly and Anthony Medley. In this position, he served as the student pastor to the constituents of Oakwood College in the various worship programs and spiritual endeavors on campus. In 1999, the student body voted Pastor Jacobs as the Oakwood College Man of the Year for his distinguished ministerial service while on campus. In May of 2000, Pastor Jacobs graduated from Oakwood College with a Bachelor of Arts in Ministerial Theology.
After graduation Pastor Jacobs was extended a call to serve in the South Atlantic Conference as the assistant pastor of the Berean SDA Church in Atlanta, GA, under the senior leadership of Elder William L. Winston, until 2002. While at Berean, Pastor Jacobs was the speaker for a three-week citywide youth evangelistic meeting, which resulted in 28 precious souls being baptized. This evangelistic series sparked an unknown “evangelistic fervor” in the soul of Pastor Jacobs that continues to fuel all present ministerial endeavors. In August of 2002, he entered Andrews Theological Seminary in Berrien Springs, MI. While attending the seminary, Pastor Jacobs served as the administrative student pastor of the New Life Seventh-day Adventist campus church. He was also actively involved in many of the student vocal organizations such as the New Life Praise Team and the Divinity Ensemble. Pastor Jacobs completed his Masters of Divinity degree in December of 2004 after which he was assigned to serve as the pastor of the Bethel Seventh-day Adventist church in Asheville, NC. While serving in Asheville Pastor Jacobs was actively involved in the community life of the city, while actively engaged in evangelistic endeavors, which resulted in the baptism of over 45 souls. After serving in Asheville, Pastor Jacobs was called to serve as the senior pastor of the Bethany Seventh-day Adventist Church in Macon, GA. Pastor Jacobs’ ministry in Macon was both rewarding and enriching, providing opportunities for community outreach and evangelistic endeavors. Perhaps the most significant occurrence of Pastor Jacobs’ ministry in Macon was meeting and marrying his wife Dr. Ashley (Maycock) Jacobs, who was a physical therapy student at Andrews University.
After serving in Macon, Pastor Jacobs was extended a call to serve as the senior pastor of the historic Kansas Avenue Seventh-day Adventist Church in Riverside, California where he and his wife now currently reside. In summarizing the privilege and sacred responsibility of the call to serve as a minister of the gospel, Pastor Jacobs humbly submits, “It is a great privilege to preach the grace of God for the redemption of man; it is a greater privilege for the preacher to be personally redeemed by that grace. This is the true miracle for the gospel worker.”

Pastor Ruben Rios
Pastor Ruben R. Rios is quite humbled and amazed at the call God has placed on his life. He is paid to do what he loves to do—share with others the life giving water that was given to him by a man from Nazareth—who is now his best friend. Pastor Ruben is persuaded that real church begins when the 11o’clock worship hour is finished. When we exit the church doors, the great Gospel Commission is actually realized as we go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything Jesus has commanded. Pastor Ruben’s drive and passion burns from a willingness deep within to expand the glory and love of God, so that all may experience God’s saving grace that has rescued and transformed a sinner like he.
Pastor Ruben was born in San Diego, CA in America's finest city. He is a product of Christian education. He attended San Diego Academy and La Sierra University, graduating with his B.A. in Religious Studies. In 2011, he earned a Master of Divinity degree with an emphasis in the Old and New Testament, from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University. Upon graduating from La Sierra University in 2007, he broke history by becoming the first pastor of Hispanic decent to serve at the Kansas Avenue Seventh-day Adventist Church, one of the largest and historic African-American congregations on the west coast. After graduating from the SDA Theological Seminary in 2011, Pastor Rios accepted the call to finish what he started, by returning to serve as Associate Pastor of the Kansas Avenue Seventh-day Adventist Church in Riverside, CA.
Besides ministry, nothing brings Pastor Ruben greater joy then spending time with his family. He’s also a big hockey fan and enjoys not only watching the game, but playing it too. Pastor Ruben has been happily married for nine years to his lovely and beautiful princess Martha. In addition, they are the proud parents of their five-year old son, Ruben Reuel Rios.
Pastor Taylor Trent
Pastor Taylor Trent has always been a lady on a mission. Throughout her life she has been motivated by a deep passion for helping others and addressing injustice. It is no surprise to learn that the Bible verse that serves as a motivator for her life is Micah 6:8 “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”
Taylor was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest city of Bothell. She was fortunate enough to be homeschooled until in the 6th grade she attended Kirkland SDA and then moved onto to graduate high school from Puget Sound Adventist Academy. Her college years were spent in the surf and sun of Southern California where she attended and graduated from La Sierra University with a BA in Religious Studies. She continues her ministry studies by working on a Masters of Arts in Clinical Ministry at LLU.
Pastor Trent’s life has always been one focused on ministry as she attended her local churches of Breath of Life SDA or Bellevue SDA in various youth activities and evangelistic efforts. In high school she was able to participate on a mission trip to Fiji where she was chosen to deliver one of the Sabbath sermon messages. In college she continued a life of service as a campus ministry leader in the Spiritual Life department organizing the student small group worship teams. In addition, during her college years, she volunteered as a hospital chaplain at Loma Linda University Medical Center and was selected to be student intern pastor at Kansas Ave SDA Church.
Pastor Trent’s deep compassion and empathy for people has found a home as she serves as the Pastor for Outreach at the Kansas Ave SDA Church. This ministry opportunity gives her the ability to express her love for Christ and her commitment to see people’s lives changed as they come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. In her role as Pastor of Outreach she is driven by the Great Commission of Matthew 28 as it is actuated through giving Bible studies, preaching, and leading out in evangelistic efforts.
