MISSION STATEMENT

The Women’s Ministries, WINGS, plays a vital role in meeting the diverse needs of women, who are a significant part of the church body and the surrounding community. It provides fellowship separate from the regular Sabbath worship time. It is to enrich the women of the church by prayer and going to the word so that we can become better equipped to face tough challenges that lief deals us on a daily basis.

PURPOSE

The purpose of WINGS is to motivate and encourage every woman to use their God given gifts and talents to become actively involved in different services in the church and outreach programs, such as HIS (Heavenly Inspired Sisters). HIS is one ministry within the women’s ministry that has been instrumental in providing for the needs of women in the community and assisting in visitation of the sick and shut-in members of the church.

WINGS provides social gatherings, like monthly meetings in a relaxed spiritual setting, where the women can experience the presence of God and give support, comfort and encouragement to those who are hurting and need to be ministered to physically and spiritually. The meetings allow women to be refreshed by consecrating themselves to God in order to be used by Him to help bring others to Christ. WINGS also mentors and encourages the younger women in the church, and it is a place where women who have been out of the church for awhile can come together and surrender all of their cares and worries to the Lord with the support and encouragement of other women.

All adult ladies are encouraged to attend WINGS monthly meetings on the first Sunday of each month, as we discuss issues that personally affect women and their families. At the meetings we will hear the word delivered by guest speakers, hear personal testimonies from women about the goodness and grace that God has had on their lives, participate in book studies to help us achieve a closer relationship with God, have prayer breakfasts, plan social events and just enjoy some good ole fellowshipping together.
